My personal journey. When I began my training for somatics, I think my body knew I needed it, but my brain just couldn't get go of the "high" I love from a sweaty spin class or workout. But my body kept screaming at my mind to make a change, and slowly overtime I began to feel the changes from a visceral level. I felt like my body sat my brain down and said, "You listen to me, we have had enough, you are stressed, tired, and in survival mode, if we don't change things now, it's not going to end well for us." Now, I practice this daily, and after months of learning, I felt I am now ready to bring it to the studio. This is not a "yoga class", it is so much deeper than that and will come with time as a practice.
