Amanda

What does Inner Fit love most about Amanda? Hands down her contagious laugh and constant ability to make everyone else around her laugh. She brightens up any room and is always making the class fun! Amanda is also a vivid part of the Inner Fit community and is always making new friends at the studio.

We wanted to learn about her experience as a member over the past few years, so we asked her a series of questions to help new people learn about Inner Fit and here is what she had to say about the Inner Fit Community.

What is your name?

What first brought you to Inner Fit?

I first saw Inner Fit on Facebook and was attracted to the one week free trial as it would give me a chance to get to know whether I would fit in.

How long have you been a member?

I am almost at 2 years. I’ve been a member since January 25, 2016

Why do you choose to still be a member at Inner Fit?

I am still a member because Inner Fit is not just a gym. It is a welcoming community that makes no judgements on the size and shape of any member. I enjoy the variety of classes and I enjoy working out with so many of the members of this amazing community. Rachel has been more than welcoming and pushes me to reach my fitness goals.

What have you noticed on the inside and out in terms of your health, fitness, and emotional wellness?

I noticed that I feel better about myself on the inside and out. I am able to forgot the stresses of work and let everything out in my workout. I have more stamina and strength then I’ve ever had.

How do you feel about the Inner Fit community and what part have they played in your health and wellness?

The Inner Fit community is supportive and welcoming since I first joined in 2016. Members of this community understand the struggles with weight loss and encourage you throughout your journey.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining Inner Fit?

I would ask them to try the one week trial and to come try out different classes each day of the trial. Don’t sit on the fence. You will not regret joining Inner Fit.

What community adventure or charity events has been memorable to you and why?

The most memorable has been Goosechase. It was such a fun collection of activities. It was competitive and it brought the community together. So many laughs to be had.

What is your favourite class and why?

My favorite class is step class and fit camp classes because they challenge me.

How do you feel about the coaches at Inner Fit? What part have they played in your fitness and health?

The coaches are extremely supportive and have been instrumental in my dedication to continued fitness. The coaches motivate you when you feel lazy and never hesitate to crack a few jokes to make you laugh a bunch in class.

What makes Inner Fit different than other gyms or studios you have participated in the past?

Inner Fit is a place that provides a program that works. There are a variety of classes available and is accommodating to all fitness levels. It is more of a community of fun people and coaches coming together to have fun while working out.

Can you share an Inner Fit memory or story that will always stand out for you?

I will never forget my first class. I was nervous and unsure whether I would fit in. I walked into class and Rachel introduced herself right away. She made me feel welcome as if I had been a long time member and so many of the other members in my class that night were so helpful. I knew I found the right place for me.

Where do you think you would be today if you had not joined Inner Fit when you did?

I would likely be lazy and less active. I joined other gyms in the past but the lack of a community base has been a main reason why Inner Fit is different from the rest.

What do you enjoy the most about Inner Fit?

I love the laughs in the classes as we work out. I enjoy the variety of workouts that I get to choose from and the support from the coaches.

What have you accomplished that you are proud of by dedicating yourself to being healthier and fit?

I had a goal to lose weight before becoming a bridesmaid for my friend’s wedding and I had 7 months to do it. I achieved that goal and have continued my fitness journey at Inner Fit since. I’m most proud of myself for continuing my fitness beyond this goal.
